Terms and Conditions International Tracked Packet

1. What can be sent

Send goods to selected countries in Europe, with tracking. Perfect for you who run an online store. Simple and affordable service.

2. Service specifications

Maximum weight: 2000 gram
Minimum dimensions: 9 x 14 cm and thickness 2 cm
Maximum dimensions: Length 35,3 cm, width 25 cm and thickness 7 cm

3. Prices

Prices based on weight. One destination only, abroad. Tracking is included in the price, VAT excluded.

4. Packaging, sorting and address label

The packets must be handed-in separately from other mail and packaged in accordance with our recommendations. Apply our standard address-/customs label (CN 23) to the International Tracked Packet. Each label has a unique barcode. The label is designed in English and all information must be given in English.

It is important to fill in customs information as correctly and detailed as possible. Shipments may be returned if the address-/customs label is not filled in correctly, and if the language is not English. It is not allowed to write "gift".

5. Handing-in place and time 

The packets can be handed-in at Posten or via your collection-/delivery agreement. Customers with an agreement can deliver directly to the terminal. The first tracking event takes place when the packet arrives at the sorting facility at Posten's Østlandsterminal. Shipments may be returned or delayed if the packets do not satisfy the terms and conditions.

6. Forwarding

The packet is scanned in the recipient country and the receiver will be notified by e-mail or SMS about pick-up, if it is not delivered directly to the mailbox.

These countries receive International Tracked Packet.

7. Marking

All packets must be marked with our standard address- / customs label (CN23). This label is already marked with a postage paid indicator (P.P. Norge) as well as the text ‘PRIORITY’ and ‘TRACKED’. 

8. Delivery time 

  • To the Nordic countries : 4 - 7 working days depending on country
  • To the European countries: 4 - 9 working days depending on country

Handing-out time depends on distance and the postal service in the recipient country

9. Addressing

Addressing with the correct name and address ensures that the mail reaches the right recipient without delay. The shipment must also be marked with a return address. See guidelines and rules for correct addressing to recipients abroad

10. Personal data

Posten's processing of personal data in connection with the delivery of the service is regulated by a separate privacy policy. It provides you with information about how we process your personal data and your rights in this regard.

11. Order/ Registration of Orders

Each mailing shall be ordered online at Mybring or via booking-API. Address- / customs label must be printed and placed on the items, the address and barcode must be visible. 

12. Invoicing

Online orders form the basis for invoicing.

13. Packaging and content

The items must be packed according to our recommendations. See how to pack correctly in the packing guide. (Use the tab packaging)

The items must not contain articles prohibited to be sent by Posten. Items containing dangerous goods in limited quantities must be marked with labels. The label must be placed on the front of the item close to the addressee. For more information see dangerous goods in limited quantities.

It is the sender’s responsibility that the contents in the item comply with regulations in force at any given time. For some special kind of goods, certain restrictions apply, which the sender is obliged to know. Posten Norge AS bear no responsibility for the content. 

14. Customs documentation 

When goods are being exported from Norway, it is important to ensure that customs processes and requirements are observed.

It is important that the exporter is familiar with the rules for exporting goods from Norway and it is also necessary to know and comply with the rules on importing goods to the recipient country.

Shipments must be declared for import in the following cases:
1.High-value goods. All shipments where the value of the goods exceeds NOK 5000

2.Temporary export. All shipments that require temporary export, e.g., goods sent abroad for repair and that will be returned to Norway

3.Re-export. All re-exports of goods that have been temporarily imported into Norway

Please be aware that goods valued under NOK 5000 must still be declared if they are subject to restrictions. For more information Customs clearance


15.  Compensations and conditions

International Tracked Packet abroad is not a registered item but a trackable item. No compensation is thus given for loss, damage, or delay. In addition to the conditions described here, Posten’s general delivery conditions for postal services and General payment conditions for Posten Norge AS apply.
Posten Norge AS reserves the right to implement changes in prices and conditions after prior notice, no later than 2 months before the changes takes effect. Information about changes in price and terms of service is published on bring.no/en
