Special goods

If you have consignments that are impossible to load together with other goods due to weight, measurements or other attributes, special goods is the solution for you. 

Order

Deadline for ordering is 11:30 am for pick up due to ordinary leading times (For Oslo, you will have to book the day before). Ordering of crane truck should be placed at transport booking, or the latest at the point of advising for agreement upon delivery. 

Weight and measurement

A consignment is defined as special goods if at least one of the following are present:

  • One item exceeds 1200 kg
  • One item has one side longer than 2,4 m
  • One item has two sides that both exceeds 2,0 m

Consignments with items that have one side more than 2,4 m and a total real weight on the whole consignment less than 20 kg, do not need to be shipped or marked a special goods. Special handling and booking rules apply for consignments that have items longer than 6,0 m, higher than 2,4 m or a width of more than 2,4 m. 

Lead times

We deliver throughout the whole of Norway. Delivery times are longer than for ordinary groupage or part load. Please log into Mybring to see our guiding lead times. 

Prices

We use weight and zone based prices, based on groupage and part load with an extra cost of +25 %. If at least one item in a consignment is qualified for special goods, this will apply for the whole consignment. Consignments that due to its character causes empty space over or around the item (s) might be priced by load meter. In such cases rules for load meter will apply. If special equipment such as safety straps or chocks are necessary to secure the consignment / transport, extra cost will be charged accordingly to time and equipment used. 

Track and Trace

Please use Mybring or bring.no for tracking. You might use consignment no, item no or PO-/reference no for tracking your consignment. 

EDI

EDI is necessary for transport with Bring. The EDI must contain information regarding liaisons at recipient’s location. 

Labelling

The goods are handled outdoors, and both the goods, the packaging and the labels must be resistant for wind, snow, rain etc. For multi-colli consignments, make sure that all items are marked with special goods. 

EUR-pallets

Exchange of EUR-pallets are not offered for special goods. 

Responsibility

Transport is regulated according to NSAB.
