Delivery outside the door becomes standard
Starting 26 January 2026, parcels that do not fit in the mailbox can be left outside your customer’s door instead of being sent to a pickup point.
Home Delivery to the mailbox is already a customer favorite(4.7 / 5 stars) and user feedback shows customers are even happier when parcels can be left outside the door.
Not only is this convenient for your customers, it also means fewer trips to pickup points – and lower costs for you.
What does this mean for you?
We will update the system automatically .
- If you already offer delivery outside the door, nothing changes.
- If you have a reservation on delivery outside the door, your settings stay the same. You can at any time change this reservation and enable delivery outside the door.
More flexibility for customers
In the Posten app, customers can now save their delivery instructions and preferences for future mailbox deliveries.
Customers can also save details, such as floor number and a description of their door, so they do not need to enter them every time.
If needed, customers can change their preferred alternative delivery option for parcels that cannot fit in the mailbox.
Photo upon delivery outside the door
We are developing a new feature that gives your customers a picture of the parcel that has been delivered outside their door.
Here is how it works for your customers: When the parcel is delivered, the postal carrier takes a photo which uploads automatically to the Posten app.
Pictures of the parcel the have been delivered to your recipients' doorsteps are also available for you in Mybring.
